Easter Sunrise Service On Easter Sunday, April 8, the
Popham Chapel will be host to the Sunrise Service held jointly by three of the parishes
of Phippsburg, the Phippsburg Congregational Church, Small Point Baptist
Church, and the Popham Chapel. The
sunrise service will be held on the beach in front of Spinney’s at 6:00
AM. Officiating will be the ministers of
the three congregations, Rev. Mark Wilson, Rev. Daniel Coffin, and Rev. Janet
Leighninger.
Following the service, at 8:00 AM, the Popham Chapel will host a breakfast at the Popham Chapel. At 10:00 AM the Popham Chapel will hold its traditional Easter service. Newly appointed minister, Rev. Janet Leighninger will lead us in worship for the first time, and Richard Hankinson returns to share his music with the congregation. The Phippsburg Congregational Church service will also be held at 10:00 and the Small Point Baptist Church service is at 10:30.
