The Popham Chapel exists because of the generous contribution of time and talent by its members. While much of the support comes from the Trustees, Associates and other long-time members, we welcome all visitors, even one or two week summer vacationers, to give us their enthusiasm and talents to help our mission. In return, you'll start to build lasting relationships in a wonderful community. There are many areas where support is needed. Coffee hour. After our Sunday worship service, members are invited to the Chapel House for coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Help is needed to get the coffee and hot water ready, present the refreshments, and of course, make sure the Chapel House is in the same condition as before the event. Greeters. There's nothing like a warm welcome for the members as they arrive, and providing them with a Sunday Bulletin. Just bring your smile, and arrive about a half hour before the service. Ushers. Passing the collection, ringing the Chapel bell, assisting the minister as needed, and being there to help any participant's needs. If you are interested in singing, or play an instrument and would like to perform, we welcome performers for offertory music. If at all possible, contact us a week in advance so we can make arrangements with the pianist to accompany you. Contact Paul Gamache (389-2513) if you would like to privide the offertory music. Maintenance. There' always something that needs fixing or improvement. Of course, keeping the Chapel clean and inviting to visitors is an ongoing task.
