The Popham Chapel was built between 1893 and 1896 with contributions from year-round and summer residents on land donated by Peleg O. Vickery. Work began in late 1893 and continued for the next three years as funds allowed. It was not until October 8, 1896 that the Chapel was dedicated solely to the worship of God and designated interdenominational.

Popham Chapel Minister Search

The Popham Chapel is a seasonal, interdenominational church located in the coastal village of Popham Beach,

offering Sunday services June through September, Christmas Eve, and Easter. We are seeking an individual

to lead Sunday worship services, weddings, and funerals. Ordination is not required. A weekend waterfront

apartment is provided on the second floor of our Chapel House. The position is available Christmas Eve 2011.
